Hertha BSC returns to the Bundesliga – Congratulations !
Three match days before the current Bundesliga season ends, it is set that Hertha BSC Berlin – the capital’s club from the district of Charlottenburg will return to the first division of the Bundesliga. The Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH would like to congratulate Hertha BSC on their return to the first division.
„The old lady“, as the club with the rich tradition is called by Berlin’s residents, showed great passion and ambition for the goal of returning to the first division starting with the first match day.
This drive was rewarded and the goal finally reached with the away match win at MSV Duisburg (finalist for the 2011 DFB Cup Final). The deciding goal was scored in the 27th minute, when Ebert crossed a ball from the outside and found Adrian Ramos, who was able to convert on a low shot to the far post. Just one minute later, Pierre-Michel Lasogga could have extended the lead, but MSV goalkeeper David Yelldell was able to save his shot from 20 meters out. Shortly before the final whistle, Raffael almost duped Yelldell with a free kick to the near post, but the goalie stayed alert. During the final minutes, the 3.000 Hertha fans who had traveled to Duisburg celebrated the return to the first division loudly and proudly. The return was was managed after just one year in the second division.
Those who want to celebrate the return to the Bundesliga with Hertha BSC at the Olympiastadion, should get their tickets now for this coming Friday. Starting at 6 p.m. the motto is 70 vs. 60 (70.000 spectators against 1860 München)! Tickets are available here.
