Advent calendar 2011 available at the visitor centre

The advent calendar by Berlin sports metropolis starts out with prizes totalling more than 10.000 euro. The calendar, created by Berlin sports metropolis, the association of all of Berlins top sports clubs, is a limited edition. Only 5.000 calendars are available at a price of 5 euro per piece. The calendar is now available at the Olympiastadion Berlin visitor centre, at all partner clubs of the Berlin sports metropolis or online at www.berlinsportmetropole.de.

Every buyer automatically enters the drawing with the purchase of a calendar and can win valuable coupons or other non-cash prizes. Among the prizes are VIP Tickets and fan packages from the teams, game-worn jerseys and much more. The profits generated from the joint project by Hertha BSC, Füchse Berlin, Eisbären Berlin, BERLIN RECYCLING Volleys, ALBA BERLIN and the 1.FC Union Berlin goes to the sports foundation Berlin that supports athletes from socially feeble families to train for the Olympic Games of 2012 and 2016.

And this is how the sports metropolis advent calendar works: Every calendar has its own personal number on the front. From December 1 until December 24 each corresponding door will be opened and up to 10 winning numbers will be drawn and published at www.berlinsportmetropole.de. The winners will need to send an E-Mail containing their number to info(at)berlinsportmetropole(dot)de and will then be sent their prizes.
The idea for the sports metropolis calendar stems from a prominent household – that of Hertha BSC CFO Ingo Schiller: „I told my wife about the cooperation that we had entered with Berlin sports metropolis and that we are all working toward achieving the same goal. She asked me if we were doing something for christmas too, like an advent calendar. That is how we got the idea. We’re extremely happy to be supporting a good cause with the profits generated by the calendar.“
