Bruce Springsteen rocked in front of 58.000 fans
On Wednesday evening Bruce Springsteen performed in the Olympiastadion Berlin and showed once again with how much passion and stage presence he, the Boss, as his fans like to call him, has been standing on the stages of this world for almost 40 years now. The songwriter already gave celebrated concerts in Frankfurt and Cologne last weekend and thereby introduced a large part of his new album “Wrecking Ball”.
At 7.50 pm the Boss entered his stage together with the legendary E Street Band just when the sun shoved herself through the clouds hanging over the Olympiastadion Berlin. First song: When I leave Berlin – Springsteen already played in East Berlin at the end of the eighties and thus made once again one small piece of rock history, just as he did on that evening in front of 58.000 spectators in the Olympiastadion Berlin.
The 62-year-old rock star from New Jersey, USA, celebrated the impressively long set list of 28 songs together with his fans at his last concert in Germany of his tour for his current album “Wrecking Ball”.
The stadium completely turned into a gigantic party when classics like “Born in the USA” and “Dancing in the Dark” were resounded through the powerful, almost reverent audio system –of course in high quality.
The Boss, band and fans rocked non-stop for three hours until the show came to an end at 10.50 pm with the song “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out”. What a great concert!
