Lights out for a lively planet Earth Hour 2022

Lights out. For one hour. At 8:30 p.m. sharp. On March 26th, 2022, the Olympiastadion Berlin is taking part in the Earth Hour 2022 as a sign. A sign for peace, for climate protection and for our lively planet. For more action with regard to renewable energies and against violent conflicts in Europe and all around the world.

The Earth Hour goes back to an initiative of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF ®) and has taken place every year since 2007 in March. Companies, communities, associations and private households are taking part worldwide in order to raise awareness of climate and environmental protection.

In addition to the Olympiastadion Berlin, the Red City Hall (home of the governing mayor) and the Brandenburg Gate also take part in Berlin, as do the Allianz Arena in Munich and the Bundesliga clubs FC Augsburg and VfL Bochum across Germany.
