Metallica leaves Berlin shaking
Metallica were finally guests in the capital again after eleven years and stopped at the Olympiastadion Berlin for the first time. It was a memorable evening that started with a lot of rain and ended with even more fireworks and crashing guitars – Metallica left Berlin shaking.
Ich liege zuhause auf dem Sofa und höre das #Metallica-Konzert und den Jubel im #Olympiastadion durch das offene Fenster – aus FÜNF KILOMETERN Entfernung. Kein Witz. Ich gebe zu, ich bin beeindruckt!

The band from California played the songs “Hardwired”, “The God That Failed”, “Here Comes Revenge”, “Moth Into Flame” and “Spit Out the Bone” for the first time LIVE in front of a Berlin audience – the complete set list can be read below. The evening was opened by Bokassa and Ghost, before Metallica went on stage at about 8.30 p.m. – stylishly accompanied by film music by Ennio Morricone. Metallica played their way through heavy metal history for 2 hours and 30 minutes and promised not to let eleven years pass until the next gig. While the preparations for the last concert this summer are already under way (P!NK, 14 July), we have compiled the best tweets and posts about the concert for you here:
