Ten years ago today, Usain Bolt ran 100 meters in 9.58 seconds. Due to this historical event tourists may independently access the “record track” today and view the cut-out number of Usain Bolt’s track.

It’s August 16th, 2009. All eyes are on THE highlight of the IAAF World championships Berlin 2009. What happens next is not only a moment for the annals, it also becomes one of the most famous moments from sport history. Usain Bolt defeats his own personal record (from the Olympics in Beijing) by 0.11 seconds. A moment of shock for his opponents, an unforgettable moment in the world of sports.

To celebrate this day, tourists who have booked a tour may step onto the widely known blue track. During construction work the number of “his” track has been cut out and is also on display for visitors to admire.
