Timo Rohwedder confirmed as CEO
Timo Rohwedder confirmed as CEO of the Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH until September 30th, 2023
With immediate effect, the contract of Timo Rohwedder got extended of the state-owned Olympic Stadium Berlin GmbH. The decision was made by the supervisory board of the operating company.
Timo Rohwedder (43) will be managing the business “Olympiastadion Berlin GmbH” for another five years. In fall 2015, he replaced Peter von Löbbecke, who led the company temporarily. Initially, Rohwedder’s contract was limited to three years until September 30th, 2018.
The head of the stadium has a number of tasks to play: “We are currently upgrading technically. In January the stadium just got a brand new electronic entrance control system, more high-tech screens and a third video wall on the south side will follow.”
