The Chapel in the Olympiastadion Berlin

A place of silence

In time for the FIFA World Cup 2006, the stadium chapel inside the Olympiastadion Berlin was opened with an ecumenical service. The stadium chapel is open to athletes and visitors at the Olympiastadion Berlin as a Christian oratory, but also a place to celebrate the bond of marriage or to baptize children.

The services are supported by an organ that was built especially for the Olympiastadion Berlin chapel.

Located in an oval made of dignified leaf gold the chapel offers a piece of home to visitors from all over the world by providing verses from the bible in 18 different languages. Furthermore, it is an ecumenical oratory as catholic and evangelic Christians use the chapel together. The chapel offers room for as many as 70 participants.
