Local top acts and international trendsetters Lollapalooza Berlin confirms line-up

Berlin, 30th of March 2022. For its sixth edition, the globally acclaimed festival will bring the crème de la crème of the German music scene back to the big stages and sets an example for local artists. In addition, fans can look forward to spectacular shows by international trendsetters. Another headliner and other top acts will be announced in June.

AnnenMayKantereit, Kraftklub and Die Fantastischen Vier are confirmed as the first headliners. The Cologne-based band AnnenMayKantereit thrills its audience with anthems like “Oft gefragt” and “Pocahontas”. At the end of 2021, they released “Das Orangenlied” (The Orange Song), which invites listeners to reminisce about the past with Henning May’s unmistakably distinctive, raspy voice. Kraftklub also cherish moments of the past and recently celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut album “Mit K”. This year, Lolla fans can once again look forward to a mosh pit-filled sensational show from the band from Chemnitz. The hip-hop titans Die Fantastischen Vier will be back with “Kind regards” (Song: “Mit freundlichen Grüßen”). This year, the style-defining band celebrates its 30th anniversary on stage. With their greatest hits in their luggage, they will also pay a visit to Lollapalooza Berlin.

The legendary Perry’s Stage at the Olympiastadion Berlin, one of the biggest EDM stages in Europe, will once again hold the superlatives of the international DJ scene in store for all lovers of high BPM numbers in 2022. None other than Tiësto, who has received various precious metal awards in recent years, will be here alongside greats like Robin Schulz, Fritz Kalkbrenner, Timmy Trumpet, Purple Disco Machine and others to get the crowd celebrating.

Machine Gun Kelly creates an explosive atmosphere in September with his mix of punk, pop and rap. Against all conventions, the multi-talent from the US has played his way into the heart of Generation Z with songs like “I Think I’m Okay” and “My Ex’s Best Friend” and is considered an idol for millions of people.

Also confirmed for Lollapalooza Berlin are rap luminaries Casper such as Apache 207, both of whom are glorified by fans for their respective distinctive styles. Performances by Badmómzjay, Montez, 1986zig and Iann Dior, who are among the current pioneers in the rap and RnB sector, make the festival experience perfect.

Passionate pop anthems and powerful-voiced performances by Anne-Marie, Paolo Nutini, Milky Chance, Schmyt and Joy Denalane will ensure loud choirs and goosebump moments in front of the stages on the Maifeld.

Euphoric indie rock is provided by Sea Girls from Great Britain and Drangsal from Berlin, acclaimed by the feuilleton, delivers a polarising mixture of post-punk and indie pop to the audience. Rock and indie fans should not miss the performances of 44phantom, Sir Chloe and Blondes, among others.

The Alternative Stage will once again feature the most exciting international and local tastemakers. Zoe Wees, Provinz, Alice Merton, Jada, Loi, Esther Graf and many more will be there. The scene’s hottest innovators such as Nina Chuba, Paula Hartmann, Rote Mütze Raphi, Cat Burns, Layla, Becks and others will heat up the audience in front of the Weingarten Stage with a good dose of empowerment.

As in previous years, a fascinating world of fashion, sustainability, art and adventure will be created, which is one of the non-musical programme highlights of the festival. Details on the Lolla worlds will follow soon.

Further information can be found on the official festival website.
